A Fine Wire Silver shows off well on top of the functional wood box. The box is made from a piece of Figured Maple that has Spalted. What I really like about the box is how the lighter Spalted area flows down over the front as if you spilt some paint. The black lines add some interesting definition. The Wire is elegant curve that’s very robust. Thick, ropey silver like this is quite exceptional for the famous Imiter silver mine. Few silvers ever each this magnitude of size here, and it makes this specimen look like it is on a par with a miniature from Germany or Kongsberg in Norway - but more rare for the locale. More then likely from 1980s. Imiter mine, Tinghir Prov., Draa-Tafilalet Region, Morocco
