2 Tone Amboyna Burl Box with African Blackwood
I love this box for a few reasons. I really expresses how some burls grow in a pin growth pattern. On the lid and side you can see almost a water droplet pattern of the red/brown running into the lighter areas. Next is that the burl moves into a straighter grain patter inside the base. To me it looks like a mountain range in red and a light sky above. To capture both of these views is a very rare occurrence. Size 2 5/16” tall 2 7/8” #0111
